Why Choose Only Certified Instructors?
Most instructors are great people, teaching fun and useful arts that go well beyond self-defense, improving the body and mind throughout many applications and
aspects of life.
Unfortunately in any large group there are always bad apples that threaten to spoil the entire group...
Each year there are numerous cases of abuse reported against martial arts instructors, and an unknown number of
cases that go unreported. The Martial Arts Certification Authority™ helps protect potential students from the
bad apples by certifying only the best, most trustworthy individuals as Registered and Certified Martial Artists™.

Why Get Certified?
Set yourself apart from the less reputable instructors and help us build a community of the most credible, trustworthy
practitioners in the industry.
Our Registered and Certified members enjoy many benefits in addition to being listed in our directory. They
are allowed to use our seals to prove their credibility in the industry and to show parents and prospects that
you are truly one of the "Good Guys/Girls" in the field.
Our members also enjoy financial rewards, martial arts marketing tips, and we donate a portion of all certification fees to
children's charities.

Martial Arts Certification - Adding Credibility & Safety
The World's Best Martial Artists are Certified
If you're serious about martial arts, whether you're a veteran instructor or an aspiring practioner, then you need to
learn about certification in the field of martial arts. Unfortunately there are many self-promoted black belts and would-be
instructors out there who dupe their students with inadequate knowledge and experience, rule them through intimidation,
and occassionally abuse them physically, emotionally, and in some cases even sexually.

The goal of the Martial Arts Certification Authority (MACA) is to help clean up the field of martial arts, protect students
from abusive instructors, and help legtimate instructors promote themselves to interested prospective students. The certifying
body is made up of long-time martial arts instructors who have dedicated themselves to purifying the arts.
The Martial Arts Certification Authority is different from most certifying bodies in that we do not promote our own curriculum
for members. We do require all Registered Martial Artists™ and Certified Martial Artists™ to pass a background investigation
performed by professional investigators. We also require members to comply with our Code of Ethics and meet all requirements of
their original ranking authority. We fully support the promotion organizations out there for each art and do not issue ranks to
students or instructors, we only verify ranks issued from recognized organizations and instructors and report the facts about each member or member applicant.
